Kaumarabhritya focuses on holistic child care, recognizing that a healthy childhood lays the groundwork for future well-being. The department offers outpatient and inpatient services for various pediatric conditions such as developmental and genetic disorders, nutritional deficiencies, respiratory and skin diseases, neuropsychological conditions, gastrointestinal issues, and juvenile rheumatic disorders.

Comprehensive Paediatric Diagnostic Approach: Application of Trividha Pariksha (Darshana, Sparshana, Prashna) and Shadvidha Pariksha (sixfold examination) specifically adapted to paediatric age groups. Integration of modern paediatric diagnostic methods — such as growth monitoring, developmental milestone assessments, and essential lab investigations — alongside classical Ayurvedic evaluation for a comprehensive understanding of child health.

Scriptural Integrity in Clinical Practice: Clinical practices and interventions are grounded in the principles of Kaumarabhritya described in Charaka Samhita, Kashyapa Samhita, Ashtanga Hridaya, and other classical texts. Application of time-tested concepts like Sutika Paricharya (postnatal care), Lehana (immunomodulatory formulations), and Bala Graha Chikitsa (management of paediatric disorders) in day-to-day clinical practice.
