About the Department
Rasashatra evam Bhaishjya branch combined with Indian alchemy and Ayurveda pharmaceutics which deals with various herbal preparations, mineral preparations and herbo-mineral preparations and it’s proper utilisation as per therapeutic indication, proper dosage, diet etc. to cure aliments and also preserve the health.
Our institution department came into existence in the year 2023, since it’s inception, the department engaged in Theoretical as well as Practical teaching and evaluation of Ayurvedic drugs to improve their quality.
Facilities and Infrastructure:
Teaching Pharmacy: well designed and developed teaching pharmacy with well equipped instruments,collection and storage of raw drugs, their processing and storage of end products for support of practical training for the students as well as preparation of medicine with SOP.
QC laboratory: Well equipped Quality control laboratory to analyze the purity, identity and quality of ingredients including herbs, minerals and metallic compounds, standardization of medicine, R & D.
RSBK Museum: Department museum feature various collections of models of classical instruments, charts, specimen of raw drugs and prepared medicine to aid in visual and practical learning for the students
Academic and co curricular activities:
Teaching pharmacy visit- Regular practical sessions are conducted in the teaching pharmacy to train students in identification, analyzing of drugs, processing of drugs and following SOP to prepare medicines.
Creative assessment- Students are actively participating inNLH records, market survey records, hospital OPD visit records, model and chart making as academic projects.
Educational tours- Department organizes Pharma company visit to enhance the knowledge in recent updates, GMP compliance, testing and analysisof drugs.
Research orientation- Students are encouraged to undertake project work and are guided towards research methodologies, enabling them to pursue scientific investigations in pharmaceutics.
