The Department of Prasuti Tantra & Stri-Roga (Obstetrics and Gynecology) is a clinical department within Ayurveda that specializes in women’s health and reproductive care, including prenatal, labor, and postnatal care, as well as management of gynecological disorders. It focuses on maintaining the physical and mental health of women, ensuring a healthy child from a healthy mother, and addressing genital tract health and diseases.
Prasuti Tantra deals with all aspects of pregnancy, including antenatal care, labor, delivery, and postnatal care. It also covers pre-conceptual care, contraceptive measures, and management of pregnancy-related complications. Stri-Roga focuses on the management of gynecological disorders, including menstrual disorders, reproductive tract problems, breast diseases, infertility, and menopausal issues.
